From old to new – the new Clickworker profile
Things are really moving at clickworker!
Since the Clickworker profile is getting a bit old, we decided to renew everything. And now we proudly present the new Clickworker Profile. But don’t worry – this only affects the User Profile – Workplace, Work History etc. all remain unchanged.
The profile has increased in size and is much more personal. You can now see the user name in the header, the profile progress, and upload a photo of yourself. An area for short statistics of the individual tasks with the corresponding Clickworker-level will be added later. You can fill out the About me, Languages, Skills and Hobbies & Specialities areas in the tabs just below the quick profile. Why not tell us more about yourself and your skills.
Introduce yourself by writing a creative text of 100 words in the
About me area. You can even upload samples of your work, if you have acquired experience in previous activities.
The Languages tab is divided into regions so that you can distinguish whether a Spanish native speaker is from Spain or Argentina, or a native English speaker is from the U.K. or America. That is handy later when selecting the tasks. The language levels to be selected range from “Mother tongue”, “Read” or “Read & Write”. In addition, certificates such as University Degrees or Language Tests can be uploaded, with details on the level obtained to show what you can do.
Under Skills you can specify your preferred genres in which you have already written a text (blogs, dictionary entries, reviews…). Translation skills can be indicated here too.
The Hobbies & Specialities tab contains much more options than before. You can now distinguish between Hobby and Speciality. That is also important later when assigning the tasks.
Why the new profile?
The new profile is not only nicer, more personal and more detailed than the old one, but you can see the completed tasks at one glance, and soon even the individual job statistics.
Everything is really in one place in the new profile, and the possibility of uploading work samples increases the chances of receiving tasks.
However, the new profile will be updated constantly and more useful functions will be added in the near future.
Do I have to fill out everything again?
Yes. This is important and should be done as soon as possible in order to receive some tasks due to the new possibilities. Languages, which only have one region, will be included directly. Everything else should be filled out again, since there are many new categories, and this will increase your chances of work.
Just click through it and check out the new functions and advantages of the profile. We would be happy to receive feedback on the new profile.

Sorry, but I’m confused about how to do the new profile.

Mine does not work. There is a weird glitch on my profile page and when the fields load initially, they disappear and there is one word on the page called alive. It is basically a blank page with the word alive on it.
I sent a screenshot of the glitch and page to Angelina. Hope you can fix it soon.

Your “Hobbies and Know-How” section of the profile permits only 5 “Know-How” entries. I have know-how in more than 5 of the areas you have listed.

Jana Rademacher 06.08.2013, 10:06:28 Uhr
Dear R. Thompson,
that is correct, you can only select 5 “know-hows”. But you can choose as many hobbies as you like.

I’m registered and still cannot enter info. in the profile section either. I have cleared cookies. I can’t see the jobs page either and I, too, am confused by what
you are asking when you say “website”. I pretty much have all the above issues unresolved yet.
Jana Rademacher 26.08.2013, 14:27:43 Uhr
Dear Kim,
could you send us a screen shot of the error message you get when trying to safe information. [email protected]

Liebe Support-Teamer*innen,
Lj. auf native speaker Niveau speche (one of the few benefits of being an Army Brat).
Herzlich,
Kerstin

I have filled out all of my profile and I still can’t access any other area. It continuously goes back to the profile as if it is not complete when it is. What am I doing wrong?
Jana Rademacher 02.09.2013, 09:18:28 Uhr
Dear Carrie,
have you done any assessments yet? You need to do them in order to see jobs. If you still experience problems please send us an email: [email protected]

There should be more language degrees included since there’s a huge gap between “reading & writing” and mother tongue. Your tongue could also be mediocre.
It might be better to specify to what degree someone mastered the three aspects, that make a language, individually. Ergo reading, writing and tongue with the possibility to specify different levels of proficiency for all three.
Hope the feedback is useful.
